Northeast Health Resource Center

As part of a long-term strategy to bring health care services and resources to Northeast Travis County, Central Health and partners are offering health and wellness services on the east corner of the Barbara Jordan Elementary School campus and Volma Overton Elementary School. 

 These services are a direct result of a collaborative effort among residents of Northeast Travis County, Central Health, and CommUnityCare.

SERVICES 

  • MAP/MAP BASIC enrollment assistance 
  • In-person and virtual community resources and referrals to: 
    • ECHO (Ending Community Homelessness Coalition) 
    • Central Texas Food Bank (Food Stamps Medicaid), download flier.
    • Texas RioGrande Legal Aid 
    • Urban League (Housing/Employment) 
    • HHSC(Health & Human Services, Vital Statistics, Office of the Attorney General, Social Security Administration 
    • Foundation Communities Prosper Centers (Free Tax Help)  
  • Diaper and menstrual products available free of charge, download flier. 
  • WIC, download flier.

Notice: The Travis County Healthcare District d/b/a Central Health adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 6.0 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $5.47 (five dollars and forty-seven cents).
