Media Relations

Central Health’s media relations office is the first point of contact for journalists covering Central Health, Travis County’s hospital district and public health care system.

We schedule interviews with Central Health leadership, connect reporters with subject matter experts, provide data and background on programs, budget, and community investment, coordinate photo and video access, and respond to questions about Central Health and it’s work.

Interviews, filming, and photography on Central Health property or at the clinics of our care partners require advance approval and coordination through the media relations office. A Central Health representative will accompany media on site.

Patient care areas are not accessible without documented patient consent. Requests for patient interviews or patient imagery must be arranged in advance so consent can be obtained.

Board of Managers meetings are open to the public and media. Agendas, meeting schedules, livestreams, and archived video are available here: https://www.centralhealth.net/about-central-health/board-of-managers/. Contact the media relations office in advance if you plan to attend with a camera or would like to request an interview.

Central Health is a governmental entity subject to the Texas Public Information Act. Requests for specific records are handled separately from media inquiries and must be submitted through our public information process: PublicInfoRequest@centralhealth.net.
