AUSTIN, Texas — For the seventh consecutive year, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded Central Health the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its fiscal year 2026 (Oct. 1, 2025–Sep. 30, 2026) budget. The honor is the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting.

Central Health’s annual budget document was evaluated by independent reviewers and recognized alongside more than 1,900 public finance organizations across the United States and Canada.

To receive the award, Central Health’s budget must be rated “proficient” across 14 mandatory criteria spanning four categories: policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communications device.

The recognition reflects Central Health’s commitment to transparency and accountability in stewarding public resources on behalf of Travis County residents.
