How it Works

Research partnership and approval process

Central Health welcomes collaborative research partnerships. All proposed studies must undergo the research proposal approval process prior to initiation.

This review evaluates:

  • Alignment with Central Health’s mission and strategic priorities.
  • Feasibility within clinical and operational settings.
  • Potential impact on patient care and system resources.

Approval is required for all research conducted within Central Health facilities or involving Central Health data, patients, or staff.

Research Support Services

The Department of Education and Research provides:

  • Study feasibility assessments.
  • Proposal development support.
  • Coordination with the Central Health grants department for funding and contract administration.
  • Site approval for all research activities.
  • Required education and training for investigators and study personnel.
  • Facilitation of data access requests.
