CommUnityCare Health Centers Opening New COVID-19 Vaccination Sites in Manor and Pflugerville; Relocation Burleson Road Site

May 7, 2021

(Austin) – Central Health-affiliated CommUnityCare Health Centers is opening two new COVID vaccine sites – one in Manor and one in Pflugerville – while continuing to support Travis County’s mass vaccination hub, which is moving to the Travis County Expo Center Friday.

The Central Texas Counties Vaccine Collaborative is moving from Circuit of The Americas (COTA) to the Travis County Expo Center at 7311 Decker Lane. A clinic is scheduled for this weekend from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. for anyone over the age of 16, with or without an appointment. The clinic will provide first doses only on Friday, May 7, and both first and second doses on Saturday, May 8.

“With numerous no-appointment, no-cost and no-ID options, we’re making it as easy as possible for every Travis County resident to get vaccinated,” said Jaeson Fournier, CommUnityCare CEO. “Data shows the highest risk communities have disproportionately lower rates of vaccination, but we are working with partners to change that quickly by eliminating as many barriers as possible.”

Manor
The Manor Vaccine Clinic, located at 600 W Carrie Manor St. in the Senior Center Building, is now open to anyone 18 or older on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. with or without an appointment.

Burleson Road/Southeast Travis County
CommUntiyCare’s Burleson Vaccine Clinic will close Friday, May 7, in preparation for relocation to Pflugerville, which will open in the coming weeks.

CommUnityCare continues to offer vaccines for established patients. To schedule a vaccine appointment, call 512-978-9015 or book online.

No appointment, no cost vaccines are available for Southeast Travis County residents at multiple locations including Austin Public Health’s vaccination site at the Southeast Branch of the Austin Public Library in Dove Springs Tuesday – Friday from 2 – 8 p.m. (5803 Nuckols Crossing Rd, Austin, TX 78744), and at commercial pharmacy locations including H-E-B, Walmart, Sam’s Club, CVS, and Walgreens.

You can find additional pop-up (no appointment) clinic events on the Upcoming Events calendar at austintexas.gov/COVID-19 or by calling 3-1-1 or 512-974-2000.

East Austin
CommUnityCare’s Rosewood-Zaragosa Health Center at 2802 Webberville Road continues to vaccinate established patients 18+, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m.-2 p.m. without an appointment. Established CommUnityCare patients can also go to most any CommUnityCare clinic for a COVID vaccine.
