Central Health Hires New Compliance Officer

July 15, 2020

(Austin) – Central Health has named McKenzie Frazier as its new compliance officer, with the Board of Managers voting on final approval during their regular meeting Wednesday night.

“The compliance officer plays a critical role in our organization,” said Mike Geeslin, Central Health President and CEO. “McKenzie will lead efforts to maintain regulatory compliance and ethical standards. This work is at the core of Central Health’s values and culture.”

Frazier will be responsible for developing and coordinating a compliance program this includes planning, development, implementation, training, internal audit, and on-going maintenance to ensure that compliance with regulatory guidelines is maintained.

“Compliance matters, and I’m excited to be joining an organization that puts compliance and ethics at the forefront of its operations,” McKenzie Frazier said. “With more than 18 years of experience working with health plans, and 15 of those years in compliance management, I believe an effective program constantly identifies its strengths and weaknesses, evaluates compliance with regulatory requirements, determines appropriate processes for risk reduction, and regularly educates and trains staff.”

About McKenzie Frazier

Prior to joining Central Health, Frazier served as the Director of Compliance & Privacy Officer for People’s Community Clinic, and also served as the Vice President of Corporate Compliance & Quality for MAP Health Management, LLC, a provider of certified peer recovery support services. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources from the University of Southern Mississippi and earned his initial master’s degree in Health Services Administration from Mississippi College. Additionally, McKenzie is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certified by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Also, he is a Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO) certified by the AAPC, and a member of the AAPC.
