Community Health Worker Training Program

A Community Health Worker (CHW) is a liaison between the community and the health care system.
Central Health is offering an accelerated program that trains candidates to become CHWs in only 13 weeks.
Responsibilities of a CHW include:
- Helping patients get access to health care services and resources.
- Assisting patients with completing documentation.
- Communicating with patients at their literacy level.
- Helping patients set goals and measure their progress.
- Staying current on programs and resources available to the community and how patients can access them.
Participant benefits
- Full-time employment with hourly pay provided through the duration of the program

Participant requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must attend all classes in person
- Must not currently hold a CHW state certification
