Friday in Austin: HHS Secretary Burwell to hold press conference on the Affordable Care Act

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia M. Burwell will hold a press conference on Friday, Feb. 13, at 10:30 a.m. to discuss the number of Austin residents who have signed up for quality, affordable health coverage for 2015 through the Health Insurance Marketplace.

The press conference will take place at the Southeast Health and Wellness Center in Austin. Earlier in the day, Secretary Burwell will host a roundtable discussion about Affordable Care Act outreach and enrollment with local assisters, navigators, and certified application counselors.

Consumers should visit HealthCare.gov to review and compare health plan options. Consumers can find local help at Localhelp.healthcare.gov or call the Federally-facilitated Marketplace Call Center at 1-800-318-2596. Local consumers can also call 2-1-1, choose Option #1 and ask for EnrollATX to schedule an appointment.
