ACE Folklorico Team, East Austin College Prep
The ACE after-school Ballet Folklorico program at East Austin College Prep was created just a year ago by Ms. Perla. But these 4th–5th-grade girls are already making a name for themselves. They started performing at their school’s winter and spring shows. Then, they danced at events outside the school. And now, they are getting ready for their biggest show yet: dancing at Vivir con Ganas. They have not been dancing together long, but they are ready to show the audience the traditional Jalisco dances they have worked so hard on.
