Seton Health Plan and Cigna to Develop Innovative New Products for Health Care Delivery Throughout Austin and Waco Areas

Seton Health Plan, Inc., and Cigna have agreed on a joint venture to offer employers in and in Austin and Waco integrated health care products designed specifically to improve access, affordability, and the patient experience. These new offerings will be available next year to employers with 51 or more employees within a 13-county area.


Central Health solidifies spot in developing Innovation Zone

On Dec. 9th, Central Health’s board of managers unanimously passed a resolution supporting the creation of a downtown innovation district. This district will be amash up of entrepreneurs, educational institutions, start-ups, and medical innovations, and Central Health President and CEO Patricia Young Brown will represent the entity as a founding member.


Leading Health Policy Reformer Joins Dell Medical School

To advance the Dell Medical School’s mission of redesigning health care around value, Dr. Mark McClellan, a nationally known health policy expert, has joined the faculty. McClellan, the former head of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, will focus on health policy reform initiatives.

The tax rate will effectively be raised by 6.5 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $6.32 (six dollars and thirty-two cents).
