Other Health Coverage Assistance Programs & Information

If you are not eligible for the Medical Access Program (MAP), don’t worry. There are various resources that can provide assistance on accessing local, state, and federal health coverage programs. Local Sliding Fee Scale Programs

With a sliding fee scale, the clinic will offer different pricing based on your income level. People who earn less income will pay less for care. Those who earn more will pay a greater amount. Learn more by clicking or calling the local clinics below.

The following programs can help not just with health care, but housing, food, education, and other social services.

 

Aunt Bertha is an online social services directory that can help you find food assistance, help paying bills, and other free or reduced cost programs, including new programs for the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Foundation Communities is a local nonprofit providing affordable, attractive homes and free on-site support services, including healthcare, for thousands of families with kids, as well as veterans, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.

Notice: The Travis County Healthcare District d/b/a Central Health adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate. The tax rate will effectively be raised by 6.0 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $5.47 (five dollars and forty-seven cents).
