Central Health Seeks Community Input  on Expanding Local Health Care Services

Travis County Commissioner Brigid Shea to join

AUSTIN, Texas — Central Health invites community members to join Travis County Commissioner Brigid Shea (Precinct 2) and the Central Health Board of Managers for an interactive discussion on health care expansion, including new clinics and innovative services for Travis County residents with low income.

WHY

This event is part of the Central Health 2025 Community Conversation series, designed to engage residents across all Travis County precincts. To share their priorities and concerns, community members will have the opportunity to meet with Travis County Commissioner Brigid Shea and the Central Health Board of Managers.

KEY TOPICS INCLUDE

  • New health care facilities in Del Valle and Central-East Austin offering comprehensive services including primary care, mental health, specialty care, and laboratory services.
  • Innovative programs addressing critical health care gaps, including bridge services and respite care for individuals experiencing homelessness.
  • New approaches to improving the way health care is delivered.

The tax rate will effectively be raised by 6.5 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $6.32 (six dollars and thirty-two cents).
