Central Health Performance Review

In April 2017, Central Health issued a Request for Proposal seeking consulting services to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization, and make recommendations about opportunities for performance improvement. Germane Solutions was selected to lead the project and began conducting its independent performance review of Central Health in July. The assessment focused on six key areas:

• Access to Care
• Planning
• Communication/Outreach
• Population Health Management
• Organizational/Governance
• Funding

Germane Solutions benchmarked Central Health against other comparable public health, hospital, and health care districts in Texas and around the country to evaluate best practices currently in place or that need to be implemented. The performance review included community input, review of patient surveys and data, interviews with Central Health leadership and key staff, and a comprehensive peer review.
