About the Colony Park Sustainable Community
The health center is part of the Colony Park Sustainable Community, a 200-acre development led by the City of Austin that will also include housing, retail, office space, and infrastructure improvements.
From mobile clinic to permanent home
Central Health is building it after years of advocacy and planning by Colony Park residents, who asked for health care closer to home. Once it opens, residents will be able to get routine care and services without leaving the neighborhood.
About the project
Central Health began offering care in the area with a mobile medical clinic in 2019. In 2021, Northeast Travis County residents worked with Central Health and CommUnityCare Health Centers to open the Northeast Health & Resource Center on the Barbara Jordan Elementary School campus.
