Central Health Wound Care Services provide specialized care for patients with complex, chronic, or slow-healing wounds. Doctors and nurses who work in wound care know how to:

Services we provide
Central Health wound care services support patients with wounds or skin injuries, especially complex or chronic wounds, that do not heal quickly. Our team provides advanced wound treatments, including debridement, compression therapy, and specialized dressing and healing techniques.
Our wound care team treats:
- chronic ulcers
- post-surgical wounds
- superficial and partial thickness burns
- pressure injuries (bed sores)
- wounds associated with swelling or lymphedema
- traumatic wounds
- diabetic foot ulcers
- wounds related to poor circulation

With our wound care program, you can get the help you need right here in our clinic. We address the full picture– not limited to your wound. We will bring together a team of experts from different fields to make sure you get the best care possible.
We will also create a wound care plan customized only for you. This plan will deal with things like how well you can move, your cognitive ability, living situation, transportation needs, the foods you eat, and your support system. We will always plan around your goals for your own healthcare.
Our wound care team works closely with other specialists and services to ensure you receive coordinated care, including referrals for additional treatment when needed.

Central Health, Travis County’s Hospital District, provides these specialty care services to members of the Medical Access Program (MAP) and MAP Basic after referral from a primary care provider.
