If you live in Travis County and are uninsured, we can help you get access to local doctors, specialists, and pharmacies through MAP (Medical Access Program) or MAP Basic by Central Health, or through one of our health care partners.

What is MAP and MAP Basic?

Get MAP/MAP Basic
MAP and MAP Basic are health coverage programs for Travis County residents with low income. They give members access to the health services they need. They are not health insurance programs, and they are not federally funded.
With MAP and MAP Basic, you have access to:
- Doctor visits
- Dental care
- Prescription medications
- And more health services

All uninsured Travis County residents are encouraged to apply, regardless of their U.S. residency status.
Enrolling in MAP or MAP Basic will not impact your path to a green card.
Are you eligible for MAP or MAP Basic?
MAP and MAP Basic eligibility is based on the income you received in the last 30 days. Uninsured Travis County residents with income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level qualify for MAP or MAP Basic if they meet all other eligibility criteria. See the table below.

Documents needed to apply for MAP
You will need at least ONE of the following documents from each category:
Proof of your household’s monthly income
Examples:
- Check stubs from the last 30 days
- Current year Retirement or Social Security Benefits Letter
- Self-employment income
